NOMINATING COMMITTEE CHAIR
POSITION DESCRIPTION
What is the Nominating Committee?
The Nominating Committee works to select and recruit
qualified volunteers to serve on the District Committee in its various
functions. These functions include
program, training, membership, advancement, outdoor and camping activities,
civic service and finance.
The Nominating Committee is made up of at least 5 members
including the chair and meets year-round as needed to fill vacancies and
prepare the slate for the yearly district election in April.
The Nominating Committee Chair
- Works with the District Chairman and District Executive to help determine manpower needs.
- Runs the Nominating Committee meeting.
- Helps to form the Nominating Committee with the help of the District Chairman and District Executive.
- Prepares for and runs the annual district election
- Once personnel are identified, the Nominating Chair makes recruiting assignments to the committee to recruit potential candidates.
